Yes you can. The recording application, FreeREC, can be activated independent of IPEVO Control Center.
Windows: Activate FreeREC.exe in the directory where ICC is installed.
Mac: Activate FreeREC listed in the Applications.
Skype: unavailable is displayed on the screen and the keys do not work.
In Skype, go to Windows Tools Options Advanced. Mac Account Manage Account.
Click the Manage other programs access to Skype link at the bottom.
Make sure the IPEVO Control Center ICC is listed as an application allowed to access Skype API.
If the access is not bi-directional, click the Change button to allow Skype and ICC to access each other.
If you do not see ICC at all, reinstall the latest driver and make sure you enable access to Skype during the installation process.

ICC consumes approximately 30 of CPU power. If you are also using a webcam, that number increases as high as 70. If you feel the computer is responding much slower than usual, disable ICC when not in use.
